Get Ready With Me: Birthday

I turn 20 years old today so I thought that called for so nicer than normal makeup! I figured why not share with y’all what I did for my makeup today! I really loved how this look turned out! It’s nicer than a natural everyday look but can still be worn on a day to day basis!

I started by priming my skin with the Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot primer. For foundation I wanted I lighter coverage so I went with the Mac Face & Body Foundation in C4. To concealer and brighten the center of my face I used the Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Concealer. I’ve been experimenting with baking under my eyes recently and decided to give it a go today so I used the Tarte Loose Setting Powder to apply a lot of powder under my eyes in order to “bake.” While I let the powder set I filled in my eyebrows with the Mac eyeshadow in Omega. This has become my favorite way to fill in my brows recently and it looks so natural! I set my brows with the Maybelline Brow Drama before brushing off the extra powder under my eyes. I set the rest of my face with the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural.

To contour and add a bit of a shadow under my cheekbones I used the Soap & Glory Solar Powder. To bronze up the perimeter of my face I used the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Give Me Sun. For blush I used the Mac blush in Mocha and topped it with Rose Spritz in the Champagne Glow Face Palette. To highlight my cheekbones and finish my base makeup, I mixed Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop from the same palette. For my eyeshadow look I used all Mac eyeshadows. I started by blending Wedge into my crease for a transition. Then I put Texture all over the lid as a warm base. I then packed Coppering all over the lid as much as I could to really make it bright and stand out. I blended Red Brick into the crease to up the intensity of the red/orange look I’m going for. To add some more depth I put a little bit of Antiqued in to outer crease and really blended that in. Finally, I used Nylon as my inner corner highlight and brow bone highlight. I haven’t worn eyeliner in awhile but I felt this look really called for a simple wing using the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner. To finish off my eyes I put on two coats of the Covergirl Supersizer Waterproof Mascara. Last by definitely not least I decided to wear Mac Kinda Sexy since it has a bit of a peachy/orange undertone and would complement my eyes really well.

I’m really in love with this look! If it would match everything I wore I would wear it everyday. It turned out just how I wanted it too and I even got some compliments on my makeup! As for the outfit I wore my favorite jeans that I picked up in Europe. They are the Topshop Jamie Jeans and they fit me perfectly. The waist comes up to the perfect height and the simple cuts in the knees are my favorite style at the moment. I paired the jeans with a cream open shoulder crop top I got from Forever 21 a couple years ago paired with a bralette from Aerie underneath. For shoes I added some bling with the blue sandals I picked up in TJMaxx earlier this summer. For the final touch I added a tassel necklace from Forever 21. I honestly couldn’t be bothered with my hair since it was so hot outside so I threw it up into a messy bun and called it done!

I don’t have crazy plans for my birthday just to hang out with some friends and family and eat some good food! I hope y’all are having a great weekend! I know I don’t want it to end!
